Please click on your respective course for this week's continued learning to ensure there are no gaps linked to future learning. Some courses will have the opportunity to take an advantage of an assignment for further practice or to try and upgrade your current grade. Professional discretion will be used whether the evaluation will benefit you overall. Otherwise, your current standing will remain the same.

Welcome Back to all Students and Parents/Guardians. Our classroom will be a little different from this date April 20 and beyond.
Please be advised that all students/parents are encouraged to note the following:
A) Beginning the week of April 20, 2020 future learning will be ongoing in ALL math courses that Menihek High School is currently offering.
For my students, this will be offered via my website. Students will have to visit my website on the beginning of the week and view what work/lesson(s) we will be focusing on for that duration. Parents are welcome to do so as well. This is not meant to be intense. However, it will be linked to topics that are imperative for future learning especially the public exam courses with respect to post secondary studies . Math 2201 students will be doing the same. Your primary focus will be curriculum outcomes linked to the public exam course math 3201 for next year.
This may require ALL STUDENTS watching assigned videos; reading assigned sections; practicing assigned exercises; logging onto the CDLI website (The Center for Distance Learning); visiting other math websites; and completing assignments/practice exams for practice.
All students enrolled in m 3200, 3201, 3202, 2201 should have received a group email concerning the above.
During the week of April 20-24 I will be contacting all parents. I have been in contact with many of you since our school closure and I will continue to do so on a regular basis from this week and beyond until June.
B) Term Three report cards are the focus right now and your mark will be current as announced by government as of March 13, 2020.
C) All students must Login to CDLI and create an account at HTTPS://WWW.CDLI.CA/. You will find additional resources available according to your respective course in addition to the vast resources that are available on this site. Math 3200/3201/3208/3202 students were already encouraged back in early February, 2020, to do so.
D) To all Our Students:
● The District has a variety of online resources available to families through its website, including Code to Learn resources, Internet and Social Media (ISMS) resources, Health
and Wellness resources, and Mental Health Resources.
E) Math Video Support is available for Grade 8, Grade 9 as well as high school courses ACADEMIC MATH 1201, 2201, and 3201 through NLESD. There is video support for Math 1202, 2202, 3202, Advanced Math 3200 or Math 3208 (Calculus) on youtube. Please visit your math teacher's web-page for assistance after April 20. All my students are always welcome to email me at [email protected] but remember the incorrect spelling of my name as it will get re-directed to another J Hunt teaching on the Island.
Thank you for your patience in these trying times.
April 2, 2020

The intent from here on in all courses is instruction and not testing. An update, will be coming later on how this is will be achieved as we receive direction from our District and School Administration.
Furthermore:
1) All textbooks are now online and linked according to your course on the home page above.
2) Please watch the daily briefings that are given on CBC/NTV or listen to it live on your phones at cbc.ca/nl.
